A Christmas Invitation

Since I live in the quaint little village of Leipers Fork,
I've decided to share my images
of Christmas in rural Tennessee.
No snow for a sleigh yet, but you're invited
to come along with me for a holiday ride.

At "Parade Rest"

Memorial Day 2009

Every military person knows the commander's order
of "Parade Rest," a time to stand at ease.
On this national holiday, parades will march across America in honor
of those who have given us their ultimate sacrifice.

Thanks to the Webeloes (a younger division of the Boy Scouts) from Davidson
and Williamson County who placed U.S. flags on the graves of 35,000
of America's finest
at the National Military Cemetery in Nashville, TN.

Christmas Crunch

Christmas is not about money. My advice: Keep it simple.
Don't get caught up in the pressure of the retail "Christmas Machine."

American Christmas

I love the reds and greens of Christmas.
The only thing better is to add a little "Red, White and Blue!"

Thanksgiving Prayer

It is my hope that whether this holiday finds you enjoying a traditional Thanksgiving with friends and family or whether you find yourself alone with a frozen TV dinner, you will experience the joy of a grateful heart. Happy Thanksgiving!
