Beautiful

This is my friend, Karen, who recently completed chemotherapy and requested that this photograph be used as a source of encouragement to others who face a major obstacle in their life. She is a tower of strength and a picture of courage under fire.

The emotional impact of her journey came to light, however, as my camera began to click and a tear rolled down her cheek. It was one of the most touching moments I have ever known and one that I will never forget. May we all recall Karen's example as we face our own battles. She is beautiful, both inside and out.

I'm Back!

After a two-month hiatus from my blog in which I concentrated on the photo contest for the Nashville Tennessean and the opportunity to be featured in their new book about Music City, I am back. What a wonderfully challenging ride that was! During that time, I ventured into the world of photographing humans as well. So, I have lots of new photos to share with you.
